Self-Discipline
Virtues help us follow Christ’s teachings and exercise self-discipline by practicing The 7 Holy Virtues. To avoid our daily sinful temptations we must first master The Cardinal Virtues. For you and me to master self-discipline, we must aspire to master The Theological Virtues. Mastering these Virtues will lead us to form the habits we are called by Christ to maintain. Living a Virtuous life is one of the keys to holiness.
Prayer
Prayer is one of the most important things you and I can do. It is a direct communication to and with God. When you and I ask the saints to Pray for us and with us when we ask them to intercede for us. We have added hope that the Lord will hear and answer our Prayers. We should pray throughout the day to our guardian angel and ask them to help and guide us. Prayer is one of the keys to holiness.
Self-Study
Studying is a vital component for one to grow in holiness. God instructed you and me to do two things on the Sabbath; attend mass and take time to study scripture and Christ’s teachings. With the digital resources available studying has become something one can easily do every day. We can study through listening to podcasts, watching a vlog, (a video blog,) or reading books. Studying is one of the keys to holiness.
